Cloud spending surged in Q2 2020, as lockdowns drove high levels of consumption
The worldwide cloud infrastructure services market continuing to surge with the overall spending now reached USD34.6 billion in Q2 2020.
As of July 2020, Canalys reports AWS with 31% of the market, Azure at 20%, Google Cloud at 6%, Alibaba Cloud close behind at 5%, and other clouds with 37%.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) was the leading cloud service provider, accounting for 31% share of total spend. Microsoft Azure was in second position with 20% market share. Google Cloud remained the third largest cloud service provider with 6%, followed by Alibaba Cloud with 5%.
